Human Capital Development is becoming commoditized
Published by Toby Coop February 5th, 2006 in BrandNewWork, Learning“Big Blue has recently moved most of its training acivities out of the classroom and onto the desktop. As a result the company has saved around a quarter -billion dollars in annual costs. More important: employees who receive training via desktop computer report higher customer satisfaction scores than do those who get their training in a classroom setting. Thats a particularly big deal, since classroom training is one area where IBM has consistently been one of the best. Moreover, todays training software is primitive to what it will be in a scant five years, let alone ten years when the gameboy generation start their professional careers.”
